Recommend me a video game!
(Anonymous) 2015-01-08 12:04 am (UTC)(link)I like the interactive storytelling aspect of video games, but there's a lot of things about me that make me suck at the majority of them. (poor reflexes, gets lost, bad at puzzles) Telltale's The Walking Dead was quite my speed, and I've played a good bit of WoW in my time, but that's about as much as I've managed. Any recommendations? I've been interested in the 'choice-based' games like Dragon Age and (?)Mass Effect, but I haven't been able to determine if I will stall out in those because they require accurate aiming or somesuch.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Please feel free to ask for recs of your own.

(Anonymous) 2015-01-08 02:16 am (UTC)(link)Hmm, strategy tends to fall in the same category as puzzles for me, aka 'does not compute'. Turn-based is a bit better than rts but I tend to tunnel-vision and a lot of them seem to require multitasking/micromanagement? Like, in Roller Coaster Tycoon I could have 2 fabulous rollercoasters and forget all the bathrooms, or in Sims one of them will have a great life and the others will be completely forgotten and need a magical therapist.
I *could* try Civ again, there was a kind of kiddie knock-off version I liked quite a bit when I was younger....
