I think it can be interesting in the sense of knowing those little details when it comes to how you characterize the relationship in a fic. When you're creating your own characters, chances are you'll know a lot of stuff about them that never makes it into your story in any tangible form, but it still informs how they act/react. I think it can be valuable for fanfic too.

But posting the actual meme replies, yeah, that's several kinds of pointless indulgent navel-gazing.

It's really the meme format that annoys me. If, instead of memes, people posted drabbles or ficlets about couples learning to live together, I might actually enjoy domesticity posts.

But no. It's always a fucking meme, and the answers are always like 'Oh, this character does the dishes because he's a neat freak in canon.' WOW SO INSIGHTFUL AND INTERESTING.
