News flash: people write stuff they don't care about all the time. That's literally how publishing works right now. You cater to a crowd because you want to be paid or deal with having no audience.

It must be nice living in a world of such privilege where you can just say, "DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT BECAUSE YOU'LL 100% SUCCEED IF YOU TRY AND PEOPLE ONLY WRITE WHAT THEY CARE ABOUT!"

That's not how the world works. Quit pretending it does.

agreed the best solution is to just act like we live in a world where the publishing industry and marketing forces surrounding entertainment don't even exist
