The book made me actually understand why Grevious was a character, and made me appreciate the story a million times more. RotS was actually my second favourite Star Wars movie overall (nothing will ever beat ESB for me), but I can't help but wish the movie had been more like the book. If it had, I think it might actually have been my favourite. xD

And Obi-Wan's line in the novel when he learned that Anakin had led the siege on the Temple? It broke me. My god, just the choice of wording and the power behind Obi-Wan's reaction, "Don't make me kill Anakin," spoke volumes more to me than the movie's "I won't kill Anakin." I don't know what it is about the novel's line, there's a lack of control over the situation and an inability to believe what he's seen, whereas in the movie, Obi-Wan was still rather composed and by saying, "I won't kill Anakin," it just seemed like he was less shaken by the whole thing.
The way the novel panned out as well made the severing of Anakin and Obi-Wan's partnership with Anakin's turn feel all the more painful; they were honestly getting along once they were equals and not master and apprentice...
Sorry for gushing, it's just so awesome to see someone with a similar assessment of the novel <3.
