Same way Cullen and Morrigan got exponentially hotter in the new engine. Hell will freeze over before I personally see Loghain in my own game, but I admit he got fine.

you know you don't have to play origins again if you want him alive in inquisition, yes? just make the choice in the keep.

i just don't like loghain. i had my warden execute him and no regrets. still, i'll probably do a play through with him as the warden just to see how he is like. at least the fade decision will be easy. (so glad that alistair was king in my first game. to choose between him and hawke... i would've died. alas, it was time for stroud to go!)

I did that mission just today, beforehand I thought it would be easy, I'd keep my Hawke alive without batting an eye, but when the decision time came and I was reminded of how he had saved Bethany's life... It was harder than I thought. I can't even imagine if I had to choose between Alistair and Hawke, I'm not sure I could have done it without bawling.

When I played Origins, my "canon" run was one where my female Gray Warden became queen to Alistair's king. That was the world state I imported into my first Inquisition playthrough. I loooooved Alistair --he was so dorky and sweet. So when I learned you could teamp with Alistair in DAI, I created another world state in which my warden was a dude who romanced Leliana and Alistair remained with the wardens.

So on my second DAI playthrough he shows up in Crestwood and I was just so thrilled to hear Steve Valentine's voice again and hang out with my boy....and then I realized the choice I was going to have to make. And I adore Varric and the thought of hurting this fictional videogame character was causing me pain. But...but...it's Alistair. I couldn't kill him, I just couldn't.

That decision was the worst a videogame has ever made me feel.


But damn, OP, I agree...Loghain looks great there.

(Out of curiosity, how does Anora look? While I liked her before, I now have an extra soft spot for her after her voice actress favorited a photo I took of my Yondu merchandise on Twitter, haha)

The one picture I've seen (given that I haven't played the game - hardware issues), she lost out badly on looks. Oh, she's not ugly, but like Alistair she looks nothing like DA:O and the shading problems with blonde hair strike again (they need to make the scalp line with blonde hair stand out a bit more or else it looks like the hair and skin blend into each other badly) and the dress she was wearing is horrendous (if that's an example of Ferelden fashions, then I understand why Vivienne is allergic to them).

Bioware did so well with many of the returning characters, making them match up in looks to previous games, but they failed big time with both Alistair (who is cute, but looks totally different) and Anora.

DAI Loghain would be hot, if his nose wasn't three sizes too small for his face. Anora's nose is slightly too small, too, but it works better on her.

Of course, I think DAI Alistair is even hotter than Origins' Alistair, so my tastes might automatically be suspect.

Bioware's faces have definitely improved! But I am used to their older looks, and easily overlook flaws. I think most of the characters were beautiful/handsome/so on, and always saw them the way I felt the modelers were TRYING to go for.

I just plain prefer brunets, and always liked Loghain's looks better. Not enough to break Alistair's trust to spare him, though.

Text: I didn’t give a damn about Loghain in Origins, straight up killed him so Alistair and my warden could rule Ferelden together.

I feel bad about it now that I see how hot he became in Inquisition. I’m playing through Origins again to let him live.

How the hell did he get hotter than Alistair?

Smaller text: Holy hell, look at him. I’ve got a thing for older guys, and I am now disappointed I couldn’t have my warden romance Loghain. She would have dropped Alistair in a second of Loghain looked this fine.

Hes a great companion in Origins dialogue wise/has a cool scene if hes your dad in law in Awakening as well. its a shame that Bioware cut being able to have him and Alistair at the same time.

I... don't like his mouth. It's too wide, and since someone else mentioned it, I also agree that his nose is too small.
I also have to wonder why does he have no grey hair? Is it so impossible to do grey streaks?

But I can bitch quite a bit on how they redid certain characters, particularly Alistair, who looks nothing like the previous games at all, so much so that when the "Enemy of Thedas" trailer first came out no one guessed that the Warden in it was him!

They did so well remaking the major characters, like Varric, Cassandra, Cullen, Leliana, and even the defaults for Hawke, but they fell down with some of the minor but popular DA:O returns.

Default Femhawke looks nothing like herself. Without the blood streak, I wouldn't recognize her at all.
