I can't tell if you mean that you watched/liked these shows because they were SF, or because they were police procedurals? And whatever the answer, there's really no wrong reason to watch something.

I'll join you. Although I alternate my quiet sadness with bouts of seething vindictive rage towards Fox. It's not the first show of mine they've cancelled, but it will be the last, because I'm not watching their channel anymore.

Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes are srsly pretty good even if you don’t watch specifically police procedurals with sci-fi like I do….

Pfft. I'm not dissing Michael Ealy, because he's fine, but Karl Urban is also a fabulous reason to watch. And (dare I say it), the two of them had 'chemistry'. ;)

Even my little sister who has a firm set of "it's platonic" goggles was catching that. I didn't even have to suggest it, and she was all over how much Karl Cop Guy should be investigating the inside of Dorian's pants.

That's the way I am with westerns. I can only enjoy them if there is a sci-fi element (bttf 3, cowboys and aliens, etc.)

May I recommend Fringe?
