She had to die. It was the only way she would ever find any peace. Gemma was haunted by Tara's memory. She was starting to pull a Lady Macbeth. Plus this is how they lived. There is an expression "to live by the sword and to die by the sword" and that is how their society was run. If he would have done anything else besides kill her then he would have been a hypocrite and dishonored his himself, his club and family.

...I've never been more glad I stopped watching after season 3. But I am really sad that this show started so incredibly good and fell so low.

She is responsible for not only Tara's death (all because she couldn't be bothered to talk to her to find out why Jax was turning himself in), but for all the deaths that came after because of her lies, including Bobby, Lin's entire crew, Jury, and so many others. As president, no one else could've done it. Just like Chibs had to make them all vote for Mayhem. It didn't matter what anyone wanted by then. What washed supposed to do, ask Tig to do it?

What, it took you that long to realise that Jax Teller is a piece of shit? He's been a piece of shit since the start, or at least for several seasons now. Killing Gemma is perfectly in line with everything else Jax has become over the course of the series.

I don't watch the show, so I'm reading these comments and feeling quite fascinated by the yawning gulf between the secrets's mild "far from innocent" language and the revelations of murder and mayhem by Gemma.
