Er, I'm not the OP and I honestly have no idea who those people you mention are beyond names I've heard bandied about. I'm a British woman in my 50s and I don't have godessses. Feminism is the only position that makes sense, that's all.

Excuse me?! What the hell are you talking about? My generation is, by and large, a practising feminist generation who grew up in feminism's first flowering. It's not out fault that paradise hasn't yet arrived. That would be the patriarchy, which isn't dead yet.

You mean the women born in the 60's who spent their lives in second-wave feminism and especially in Britain did more than anyone to fight the post-war patriarchy we saw in the 50's?

Learn some history, some respect, and grow the fuck up.

The ones who went through hell to give us what equality we have today, which, though way the crap not perfect is SO MUCH BETTER than what her generation faced at our ages that we should be thanking them over and over for taking the fight as far as they did?
