They do say they've had enough, all the time.

But I keep wondering why, why Islam has this issue with horrible violence. If you break it down its philosophy as written isn't any more violent then most of the other religions that weren't invented recently in accordance with modern sensibilities.

From what very little I understand and I fully expect to be wrong, it's not Islam in and of itself, but that certain countries in the Middle East that have a clusterfuck of absurdly complicated historical, cultural, and political issues that exist regardless of religion. Indonesia, for example, is overwhelmingly Islamic, but while it has its own problems, it's no Saudi Arabia.

But it really doesn't. There are over a billion and half Muslims on the planet. The vast majority of them are just like everyone else. Working jobs. Going to school. Hanging out. Living their lives in peace.

However; there is a fraction of a fraction of extremists who know how to make noise. And if you look at it in a different light, it's less Islamic and more of a cult under the banner of Islam. It's closer to way David Koresh built a cult under the banner of Christianity than anything actually Islam. These extremist cults want one thing and one thing only. Control. The same thing with every other cult. They'll use any excuse to get it. Cultural purity, religious purity, racism, etc. And they'll use any means to get it. And that's where we are. We have a radical cult claiming to be Islamic but in reality, they don't care about Allah any more than any other cult cared about its spiritual deities. They just want control.
