Re: OTP thread- inspired by the Chemistry secret

The Minekura secrets have reminded me how much I love Sanzo/Hakkai. Tiny, tiny part of the fandom, since for all the manga's ostensibly gen, it's also obviously pushing Sanzo/Goku and Hakkai/Gojyo. But I see the former as more parental than anything, and the latter as BFFs (though I totally see where the shippers are coming from).

I like pairings between characters with shared interests/behaviours. I see Sanzo and Hakkai as both being quiet-ish and happy with their own company; they're both obviously well-read and enjoy that; they're both the caretakers of the group, albeit in different ways. Of course, they've both also called each other out on their shit, so that's another plus - I think that they given a chance to interact more, in absence of Gojyo and Goku, they could really help each other grow.

Also a fan of Tezuka/Ryoma in Prince of Tennis, but that manga turned into a trainwreck so I pretty much pretend anything after the Rikkaidai arc didn't happen =_= Again, the idea of similarities + pushing each other to be more than what they currently are. Except, you know, with tennis instead of deep-rooted trauma caused by seeing people they love die and becoming murderers themselves. =P
