Cut out caffeine and other stimulants. They cause your heart to start beating faster and (depending on the substance) serotonin release that can trigger panic attacks.

Some people find that listening to a certain song or taking a hot shower helps to calm them when they're having anxiety. Other people find that silence helps.

Another useful exercise is to learn "square breathing" (google it) and to practice that the second you start to feel anxious and dizzy.
