Edit: Oh and Mentor on the Yahoo group, although I think that one's just so-so too.

Haven't looked much, only had some tabs open. I did find a couple of good fics. one of them Rufus gets kidnapped, and it was quite well written. Anyway if you know of any fics do tell me!

I shall look it up! And yeah that seems to be the trend for the quality, tho I don't mind: I'd rather have some not so great fics over no fics at all.

You mean Irreplaceable? That one starts off really well, but the quality doesn't really keep up as the fic gets heavier. It's still okay though. I'll dig it up for you if you don't find it, I think I might as well compile a list of V/D fics since there are some drabbles floating around on Tumblr and places that probably wouldn't show up in searches.

Have you read Midwinter? I know it's generally considered one of the best. Personally I find that it's well-written, but not necessarily entirely in-character, although it's definitely the best, given how much fic there is in general haha.

Yup Irreplaceable was the one I was referencing, and that is true. I don't especially love the last part of it, but yeah. I have Midvinter open as a tab I think I read it on my phone last week during one of my insomnia nights, as the first couple of paragraphs seems quite familiar, but I can't remember anything else about it.

You really should make a list! I am bad at finding fanfics, and I am sure others will appreciate it too.

Also did I mention that my shiny new ship is your fault? Because it is, can't blame you for reading Discworld, but I can blame you for planting V/D in the back of my mind while reading the books.

Sorry about the late reply! Tuesdays are my busy day, especially right now when it's the beginning of the school year.

I always download PDFs of fics on ao3 so I can read them whenever, especially since I need to be lying down to read a fic if I suspect it's not great (kind of my version of 'getting drunk to do something', my state of mind is different when I'm in bed and when I'm awake haha). You didn't mention it, but I figured! You are not the first person to tell me that :p I'm glad though, I think this ship just has too much potential to justify the half dozen people who currently ship it.

And I finished your list earlier this morning! I have the distinct feeling that I've missed something though, so I'll go and ask some friends and add a 'New' tab at the top. I'll probably update it once a week since I'm challenging myself to write something every week, and I seriously doubt I'll write anything not V/D ^_^
