This depends on the series and character for me. Some series I have one OTP and can't really bring myself to ship my favorite character with anyone else. Other shows I'll ship my fave with basically everyone, though I usually still have one pairing I like best. (And actually even for shows where I have just the one OTP I'll usually read anything that involves my favorite character if it's written well enough.)
