I actually loved the dragon design in Skyrim. It made sense anatomically and made me think of giant bats or something. IIRC the game/movie market was a bit flooded with dragons at that point so I was disappointed Bethesda had gone down such a 'safe' route, but when I actually saw them I loved how the anatomy was designed and how they crawled along the ground. It looked so ugly and real!

Relevant to the secret: I think the designers on The Hobbit were influenced by Skyrim's dragon design when making Smaug.
