What are things that bug you that you know probably shouldn't?

Mine today is websites that force you to change your password. Fuck it, I already make mine complicated to make it harder to break> It is hard enough memorizing them the first time. Having to make a whole new one every few months just pisses me off. You know what, I should get to pick whatever the hell password I want.

I've bit the bullet and just started writing the fuckers down

It's not the safest but it's almost certainly safer than coming up with shitty passwords so I don't forget them

Any time I have to sign in to a website and make a new account. I really hate it. Just let me have a guest account or something guys, christ.

Through 20 years of effort, we've successfully trained everyone to use passwords that are hard for humans to remember, but easy for computers to guess.

Huh. When I signed up with hushmail, they asked for a 'password phrase'. I guess some people are catching on.

Adding to that: not accepting a password that's something like ET5nklWz!

How the hell am I supposed to remember that? I try remembering to copy and paste before I hit "enter", but that doesn't always happen so I end up just not using the site in question.

I can't blame them for that, because I think we've all seen the horror that unmoderated, pseudonymous comments sections on news sites can turn into.

Yes, this so much. Why the hell would I want to give your website my Facebook information and let everyone on my Facebook know I'm looking at your site to just comment. I just don't bother.

Oh man I hate that so much, no thank you internet I don't want to let people I know on facebook see what I look at online.

THIS this happened to me yesterday!

The options were Facebook and Google. I actually don't mind using Google since my Google account isn't connected to my real persona - but the link to connect with Google was broken. I didn't want to use FB especially because I was discussing the article in question with an online friend.

I don't even mind if they make me get an account with that site. Just...not Facebook, please!

tl;dr I feel your pain.

I don't have a Facebook and use my gmail address approximately never and should really just delete it because attempting to delete google+ drove me nuts. Oh well.

I have a second FB account I use only for games that has no real info. I use that to sign into places.

The password thing pissed me off big time once: College email password required this pretty mix of upper case, lower case, numbers and symbols. Then they changed something and suddenly * wasn't a valid symbol for passwords anymore. Well damn if your password had a * because it didn't work anymore. And since their systems was shit, changing the password was a real pain in the ass...

I hate passwords that make you have "at least one of all these things". ghhhhhh.

Aw. What bugs me is when my roommate's cat insists on rubbing her face on my computer over and over again, and then when I push her away she nips me. The cat is adorable most of the time, but I can't figure out why she likes my computer so much.

Cats rub their faces on stuff to mark their territory. Their cheeks have glands that the cat uses to leave their unique scent on stuff. She thinks the computer is hers.
