This is actually something that doesn't happen with me and I've just accepted that I'm weird. I've spent a long time trying to wrap my brain around the idea of liking something until you've been exposed to it too much but it just refuses to make sense to me.

I don't really pay a lot of attention to new movies since I hardly ever get to go see them anyway. I saw three movies last year. Plus I've completely given up on trying to follow TV shows as they air because I'm terrible at keeping up. There's not a lot of chance for overexposure there. And I'm not sure how so many people get stuck seeing so much celebrity gossip that they don't care about. I wish I could give them tips on how to avoid it since I seem to be good at that but I don't know what we're doing differently.

I'm the same. If I like it and have had too much of it, I just take a break from it. If it's a song that I like and is overplayed, I relish every single time it comes on in the radio lol.

The closest I've come to overexposure is that I couldn't watch Jumanji for a long while because the Disney Chanel once played it non-stop for a month straight . But nowadays if it came on on tv I'd watch it and enjoy it.

The closest I come is going "you know, I think I've seen/heard this enough for a while, let's check out some of the other awesome things out there". There's no hard feelings toward the thing that I'm stepping away from for a bit, just a stronger pull to new things.
