I like Kitty, but I watch the show for Sherlock and Watson so how LITTLE they've been interacting has been weird and off putting.
Its like, here you go, a younger hot white Watson girl.
and her back-story for a woman is...just...AGAIN? is this the only troubled back-story we ever get for women?? (also it's like the same backstory for what happened to Irene only it REALLY happened??)


not that this is Kitties fault. I like her, but she does feel like...diet Watson.

I am happy to see Alfredo again, and in the last couple episodes Watson and Sherlock are interacting again which i like. I love their friendship, and seeing that they care about eachother is fun.

See, I have this theory that eventually Holmes and Watson will end up together (not in the romantic sense) as partners, but more as a deliberate decision for both of them rather than as a continuation of the addict/sobriety counselor relationship. Another milestone in the development of their relationship, so to speak. The show is big on this stuff.

I was really, really unsure about Kitty at first, but I like her. Especially how she and Joan are cautiously building a friendship. No idea what the rest of fandom thinks, however.

Kitty and Sherlock scenes are okay together but Joan's absence makes me grumpy.

Kitty and Joan scenes, OTOH, I love to bits and I don't miss Sherlock at all.

I was like, "season 3 is out? I haven't seen it show up on hulu like usual!"

And then, "oh, you have to pay CBS to watch it now, no wonder."

Yeah, I guess I'll be waiting until it shows up on netflix or something, I'm not paying yet. another. streaming. service. just to watch one show. Even if it's a show I happen to like.

I can't speak for the rest of the fandom but I like Kitty and I like her interactions with Joan so far, they don't seem to be pitting them against one another and I hope they keep it that way.

I am SO happy that it's not a Joan vs. Kitty dynamic on the show. There was the tension in the first couple of episodes, but I really like how Kitty and Joan's relationship has been evolving and how it shows just that much more how Joan has come into her own as an investigator because Kitty, Sherlock's "protege" is coming to HER for insight and guidance and I really enjoy that.

Kitty rubbed me the wrong way at first, but I think she was supposed to, and her development has made her grow on me the way it's supposed to.

It just occured to me thgat thius is one of those shows I watch without being in fandom (no reason, just never bothered). I have no idea what fandom thinks. I like Kitty. I haven't seen the latest episode, but I like how they've been handling the relationships between her, Joan, and Sherlock this season.

From what I've seen, much of fandom likes her but is disappointed that Watson is getting the short end of the stick in all of this.

Me personally? I can't stand the character and hope she goes away.

I adore Kitty, which really surprised me.

I love the how she turned to Joan for guidance and help with her sleuthing after Sherlock was lacking in some areas and I love how the two have grown closer. Also, Sherlock and Watson as her psuedo-detective-parents is hilarious. I know she'll make her exit soon enough, and I hope it's a good one and not her being killed off.

I love Kitty and the dynamic she brings to the show now. Yes, there should be more Watson, who is my forever-favorite on this show, but strangely enough I don't feel the need for drastically more Sherlock&Joan?

Kitty's great and I don't feel like the show has lost focus on Joan at all.

Same here. In fact, I feel like Joan has been really strong this season, with her investigations and with her confronting her personal development. I feel like I'm one of the few people who didn't hate S2, but I feel like S3 is definitely stronger.

I also enjoy this season, and yeah, I haven't checked in with the fandom either! I like the changes in the relationship between Joan and Sherlock and the way they both interact with Kitty.

I like Kitty too, but after that mess that was last season, I wish we'd have gotten more of just Joan and Sherlock (and esp Joan). If she'd been brought in several eps in, I'd like her more.
