I do wish they had more scenes together, but their relationship was more than that. I hate the Korrasami counterargument that Bryke just threw their relationship into the finale out of the blue. Rewatching Korra, I can actually pinpoint when they started realizing their feelings for each other. (Asami end of third season, Korra beginning of fourth season when she is in the South Pole.)

Didn't Bryke say that they didn't decide to go for it until the fourth season? Correct me if I'm wrong, I read their blog posts weeks ago.

As the other anon said, third season; they'd toyed with it in year one and decided they woudn't be allowed to do it, so didn't. Then they decided to give it a formal go, and, well, here we are. :D

Yeah, this. I could see it coming from pretty far away in the scenes we had and I didn't necessarily ship them (meaning I wasn't looking for anything that wasn't there as fodder). I was still pleasantly surprised it actually happened for real on screen, though!
