Oh, man - that has Jeremy Irons in it. And Emma Thompson. I kind of wondered why they would do such a....throw away kind of movie.

(I do adore Mr. Irons, though.)

Yeah, they're both fantastic in it - those were the two I specifically had in mind as being great hammy fun. They both just chew the scenery to pieces and it's awesome. I don't know why they did it & they're definitely better than the material they're given but it definitely seemed like they were having fun. Strongly recommend checking it out if you're a fan of those two.

I may just have to bite the bullet and do it. I've watched worse, for sure, to see someone I luff.

(I'm looking at you, Robert Carlyle and that execrable 007 movie you were in....)

+1 for RC's villain... I bought that dvd. $5 that should have been spent on something else, lol. ;)

I think i rented it. Just...so, so bad. But RC was, as usual, brilliant. :)

Agreed with the OP that I totally expected BC to be as terrible as it sounded like it should be, but I REALLY liked so many of the characters that I couldn't hate it. Plus I would watch Jeremy Irons sit there and try and sell me car insurance, so... XD

Ignore the movie they made um...sometimes in the 2000's, i think. Dreadful.

Well, Irons also did Eragon, so... yeah. He has a history of doing questionable YA movies.
