That made me like Fenris more, tbh. I see a lot of characters in games losing faith or being disillusioned by it, but I rarely (if ever) see characters finding faith, or being open to the idea. And I never thought it was OOC for Fenris either. He stated in a conversation with another character (I think it was with Anders?) that he wouldn't try to kill himself because that would be a sin against the Maker, or something along those lines. That shows that he had some kind of Andrastian beliefs already. It's not like he was a staunch atheist who ~saw the light~ because of Sebastian.

Yeah, when he was talking about suicide with Anders, he asked Fenris if he really believed what he said about the Maker and Fenris said "I try to." He also later tells Sebastian that his faith was "never strong" but he never really says that it was completely absent so it seems that he might have had some degree of faith before meeting Sebastian even if he held resentment towards the idea that the Maker would allow him to suffer in slavery in the first place (here's all or most of Fenris' dialogue in the game if anyone is curious: http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Fenris/Dialogue)

Yeah, I like that the characters you might not expect are still Andrastrian. It's an interesting weave to the world.

I'm not sure it's safe to bet that Fenris is Andrastian, per se. I mean, that's organized religion vs belief in a higher power, and Fenris is still not even sure that The Maker exists.
