I guess I always found him a completely ridiculous, awful jerk, but I also kind of think that's exactly why he's funny?

I agree at this...I enjoy Q episodes, but I don't like Q...I like seeing how the crews respond to the chaos he causes and usually outwit him.

One of my favorite Q moments was 'You hit me! Jean-Luc never hit me!' Q's just so much a petulant child, and it's hilarious.

Only thing I remember from an otherwise rather tedious tie-in novel was Picard saying, "If I recall Captain Sisko's report, he said he punched you in the face and you never came back." *thoughtfully looks at own fist*
