Yeah, but lots of agnostics actually do the same thing... I wouldn't call that evidence of faith as much as evidence that someone isn't sure. Like fearing that maybe they're wrong and if they die they go to Hell, is different from really believing. I don't know if I'm explaining clearly, but it's possible to fear the off chance of godly wrath without believing in the god. Or something. That's what that line sounded like to me, but I've heard actual agnostics who have been suicidal say the similar things in RL.

Oh, no, Fenris definitely isn't sure. He doubts and questions, and wants to believe, but has reasons to be skeptical. I was just addressing the idea that if he did come to believe, it required him also having regard for the oppressive Chantry, which would likely go against his nature.
