(Anonymous) 2015-01-15 01:54 am (UTC)(link)It didn't seem to have a coherent plot. It was really weird in terms of tone and message. It was like it couldn't decide what it was saying. And it didn't even entertain me. I just couldn't give a single shit about the characters.
That little girl's voice was really annoying in the movie; but I just generally dislike the 'Annie' style of singing.

(Anonymous) 2015-01-15 06:19 am (UTC)(link)Personally I think it's more of Disney's failure because it interested me enough to want to see it live, but their adaption was crappy. It just feels like one those plays they tried to bring to movie and it was better off left in the live theaters. I guess someone could have done it justice, but the editing Disney did and casting were what killed it for me.
