Because anti's try to present themselves as the pro-women, pro-minority, understanding movement.

This. I don't mind when people who oppose what I stand for are assholes. I WANT assholes to be opposed to me, it means I'm doing something right. But when people who are on my side, who claim to stand for the values I believe in, are a bunch of hypocritical bullies? That pisses me RIGHT off.

NAYRT, but I feel like you have a special responsibility if you want to advocate for positive change. If you want to keep everything the same and hold onto your current power, it's pretty much expected that you'll be an asshole to everyone who has less power than you. To create change, it helps a lot if you seem nicer and more reasonable than the reactionaries, so if you're throwing doxxing and death threats at folks who aren't really that bad, you're dragging down the movement for the less hateful people.
