In some of them, Eddie is just a sweet dude with no rampant misogyny or murderous rage and Waylon is a wallflower who gets bullied by Jeremy and occasionally angsts about having a homophobic father (and usually Mount Massive is turned into the high school). It's....weird. I don't get how Outlast attracts the kind of people that write fluffy high school AUs

Neither do I, neither do I... Fandom always surprises me.

(The funny thing being there are plenty of fandoms where that kind of AU wouldn't be insanely far fetched, but they decide to write it for the one with all the rape, murder, etc.)
