NOT Splat! I tried their bright blue once and it pretty much all washed out on the final rinse. I ended up with a sickly light green color (I naturally have blonde hair, so yellow + blue = ew). :(

Aww, that sucks =( I hope you managed to get it fixed eventually?

I'm a little paranoid about the colour just not looking right on my hair either - it's naturally black, so I'm gonna have to bleach it, and I'm terrified it'll just go orange or something. I'm thinking I might try just a few discreet streaks first to see if I like it...
