DA--not really in the Hobbit fandom myself, but I could see female Thorin easier than female Bilbo too, especially since female dwarves grow beards and all + my reading too much Pratchett. But speaking of beards, do male hobbits grow beards? I know the movie ones grow big sideburns sometimes, so maybe they can. Been awhile since I read The Hobbit and LOTR.
