A good half of people in fandom build their friendships on knowledge. Do you know this fact? Do you know what's symbolic in that scene? Do you know this quote?

The other half builds their friendships on feelings. Did you get emotional at that scene? Didn't you hate that character? Do you ship X and Y like me?

It's annoying but that's how a big chunk of your fandom does it in all fandoms, OP.

I bet your fandom is mostly male. That's okay (I'm a dude) but that's what guys tend to do. It's also why I think many women misinterpret men who seem to quiz them over fandom stuff. Those guys do that to everyone, not just women, and there's (usually) no hostility involved.
