By both movies, do you mean both Hobbit movies or both LOtR/Hobbit?

I actually really loved LOtR, but then, i've only ever been able to read Fellowship and about half of Two Towers before giving up, so....

I...really can't say. it was contrived, trite, boring, and added *nothing* to the movie.

I recently was re-reading the Hobbit. Dwalin had a BLUE BEARD. Why didn't he get to keep his blue beard? I mean, how awesome is that?

Both Hobbit movies. I liked all LotR movies, but I think a different approach might have worked better for the Hobbit.

Me, too. I think they could have done the Hobbit in one two hour+ movie. Three, with all the extra added 'stuff' was just...not as good.
