I was only disappointed by how Fili was handled. Like, WTF.

That was incredibly annoying.

I think they just went overboard with the CGI, overboard with effects, and *way* overboard with chopped up 'orcs' with gross war prosthetics. So unnecessary. The whole orc storyline was unnecessary and kind of stupid and since when do orcs look like that, anyway?

It was goblins, in the book.
