If you had to pick only one new show from this year, which would it be?

Mine is Galavant. As much as I love Agent Carter too, Galavant is just so cracky and hilariously awesome.

Jane the Virgin. I love the actors, they really bring the show to life. The narrator is hysterical and it's so over the top.

Gina Rodriguez deserved that Golden Globe.

I'd only heard vague things about Jane the Virgin until the Golden Globes and I wrote it off as another dumb CW show. But with all the great things being said lately, I think I might have to give it a shot

If you like soap operas, it is very, very good. The actors are all great and I can't wait for it to come back from winter finale.

I really need to start watching this. Even though it isn't the type of show I usually watch, it sounds like it is really good.

If you're going to start, I'd say give at least two episodes a try. I really, really love it and can't praise it enough. There are so many storylines but it doesn't feel overwhelming at all.

I really enjoyed the first episodes but then [SPOILER] they had Petra's mom hit her so that she could pretend that Rafael abused her and they had Rafael drugged so that Jane could find him in bed with someone else. And those points just really bothered me. I can't deal with those issues being taken as lightly as they were. As I literally stopped watching the instant Jane walked in on Rafael waking up, would you mind telling me if they dealt with that issue in at all seriousness? As I would kinda like to watch the show again, but that scene just hit so many squicks for me.

I don't know if you'll consider that they dealt with it seriously, but I'll tell you what I remember happening.

Rafael freaks out and starts to talk to the girl. He notices she's wearing one of those Jane the Virgin necklaces that the church is selling and asks why the girl has a picture of his girlfriend on her neck. The girl freaks out and apologizes and then goes to talk to Jane personally to explain how sorry she is and she was just paid a large sum of money to seduce Rafael and make it look like they slept together, even thought nothing happened. She's a single mother and just trying to support her child and Jane loosens up and her and Rafael talk and resolve the issue.

I feel like I'm missing a bit but Jane and Rafael talk that night and conclude it must have been Petra that set them up.

I'm going to also go with Galavant, although it's by default because it's the only new show I've seen this year so far

Selfie, which stole my heart right away and just kept getting better. But I still haven't sat down and watched Galavant yet, so that may edge it out.

Selfie would be my second choice. It was awesome, and I was so disappointed that people weren't watching it.

Selfie was very hit or miss. I've watched all but the last episode and I can see why some people got turned off by it but I really love John Cho and Karen Gillan.

Well...pretty sure the only new things I've watched this year are Galavant and Agent Carter, so that would be Agent Carter. (Which I'm pleased with. I hope it gets another mini-season. Hayley Atwell is delightful and gorgeous and should be on tv always.)

It would be Agent Carter for me, but I also don't watch a huge amount of TV so that's the only 'new' show that I'm watching.

Galavant and Agent Carter for me, too.

The Flash. I think they've done a wonderful job of taking stuff from the comics but being accessible to people who've never read the comics. All the actors are wonderful. I love the family dynamics they've developed. I am very impressed with this show and most excited for every new episode.

I just started watching Galavant. It's really addicting; I'm almost glad there will only be 8 episodes.

I did not know that, and now I'm enormously relieved.

It's a tough call, but I think The Flash wins over Gotham, just because it has room to be a smidge lighter.

I love Galavant. It reminds me of both Holy Grail and Spamalot.

I admit I'm too embarrassed to reveal my favorite. Then again, I've already mentioned it here a few times already.

Galavant (because it's basically everything I love), The Flash because of the adorable and angst, and How To Get Away With Murder because of how addictive it is (and because everyone on that show is a terrible person and that makes me happy).

Agent Carter for sure, but I haven't tried any other show yet tbf (still waiting on my fall returning shows).

Mapp & Lucia. Only 3 episodes made. :( It was so much better than the books.
