The hemostats I use: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00062N42I/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Go in through the neck hole, lock them around a chunk of glue, pull until it breaks loose. But the glue chunks are massive and solid enough that they've benth the pinchers out of shape and they don't lock properly anymore.

That is not at all what I thought a hemostat would be.

It does sound like something that should be more complicated and medical-looking, doesn't it? Their original purpose was to hold blood vessels closed during surgery (hence 'hemostatic'), but they're useful anywhere you need a locking grip in a small space and sometimes you can find them at hardware stores and sport/hobby shops if you know where to look. I'm currently borrowing a slightly bulkier but still-effective pair from my dad's auto shop.

Huh. That is crazy.
