I was going for Drows (the ones with white hair and black/blue skin). I like the contrast but I've never played them so I don't know what kind of creature they are.

I've never heard of Trows so now I know something new too. :)

Drow are a Dungeons and Dragons version of dark elves. Go with the standard D&D elf, add some night-vision (because they are a subterranean race) and a whole pile of evil matriarchal culture and a love of spiders (because their primary goddess has a spider theme). That's the basics of Drow.
