31 - that's how I felt about the Phantom of the Opera movie, only that's so much worse because being able to sing is vital to the characters. And it was Joel Schumacher. Tim Burton I could probably have coped with.

The thought that we'll have to wait years and years for another one (that might end up being even worse anyway) is rather painful.

The depth of my loathing for that movie knows no bounds... but isn't at all a secret, as I was quite outspoken about my opinion at the time, never much caring if anyone called me a bitter old fan!

Oh my God, so much yes. I was really looking forward to it, and when I heard Gerald Butler bellowing out notes off key and sounding like someone was rubbing his lungs with a cheese grater, something inside me DIED. ;_;

Signed. Even without being a die-hard fan of the original book/play to begin with, it was still a very mediocre movie.

m15m's version made me feel a lot better about it, though.
