33. I'm still waving that pairing flag, but I have to admit it's not really all that plausible. Er, I happen to think it's cute, but I like to believe I'm not fucking scary about it. (I also don't want to look for fic because it's pretty damn hard to find anything remotely IC for it, like you said. But I'm sure it could be done?)

27. I had someone on a hate meme explain to me what bb meant. Before orz came into widespread use, I found it on Wikipedia and saved me the embarrassment of not knowing. I've only known what tl;dr meant for a year, and I think that was because of fanficrants. I still don't know what qft is.

23. I went into Tsubasa thinking that she would be just another boring character that needs her knight in shining armor to do the fighting for her. But I can't feel anything but admiration for her either. =]

22. 'Course, I don't know the people you're talking about, but it sounds like you should probably look into getting better friends. And defriending someone for that reason sounds... stupid. It's possible to be a middle man and refuse to get involved or take a stance in all that wank, you know.

14. I don't see why it's any less retarded than losing people over any other hobby. The disagreements that lead to ruined friendships are generally idiotic no matter what the involved parties are disagreeing about, imho.

6. IAWTS. Sometimes I wonder why the pairing secrets are secrets at all though. Are you really going to get mauled by the entire internet if you ship/don't ship Character A/Character B. If you usually hate Stereotype C but can't get enough of Character D even though he practically encompasses everything you hate? I can't understand why people are afraid to say it out loud.

I think sometimes people post it less because they're afraid the internet will eat them and more because it's just something they really really want to say without having to stand up and justify it. Just say it and get it off your chest without the pressure.

Actually, I think most of them are joke secrets. If not for fandomsecrets, the posters would be proudly proclaiming these ships. FS just gives them a way to make a big deal out of it, make them feel special and see everyone's reaction.

But there's so many that at least a small portion of them have to be real secrets. It's saddening that there probably are people out there who feel persecuted for liking Character A with Character C instead of Character B. =|
