31 - YES! THANK YOU! Sing and shout your hate, I'll happily join in, loud and clear. There was no soul in that damn movie. I walked out of the theater after 'A Little Priest' and went home to blast the original soundtrack. Such a waste of $8. It would have been worth it if the beggar woman had turned up the way she did...

Tim Burton hasn't made a truly classic movie since Nightmare Before Christmas-- if anyone disagrees, I gotta remind them that Corpse Bride has a fandom so small it's easy to forget he did that movie.

Tim's just lost his edge. He makes things that are pretty but not really... poetic.

Man, and he didn't even direct Nightmare.... He was a producer, of course, and that's still big... but yeah. Ed Wood wasn't bad, though, and I have a soft spot for Sleepy Hollow. But no, not the same sort of emotional pull.

I was checking IMDb and... what the fuck? Alice in Wonderland? Tim, no, we don't need another version of Alice. DDDD:

I dunno, I thought Big Fish was good, visually and poetically. It might not be a "classic" by any means, but I did get a lump in my throat at the end, and I'm not easily moved.

Big Fish is one of my favorites movies and, in my humble opinion Tim Burton's best, it's breath of fresh air compared to his other works and much more personal.

Oh man, I just remember being consistently awed by Sweeney Todd, and the original soundtrack has so much emotion in it... I completely don't see where people are coming from with saying that Johnny Depp put so much emotional depth into it. His performance just left me cold (and snickering to myself).

:( There was some stuff in the ending I didn't entirely hate... man, if I had walked out, though, it would have been during "My Friends." Every time he scooped up to a note, I twitched.
