OK, seriously, I think Runaways may be too big a shift from what the MCU has been doing to fit into their Big Plan (TM). But it would be nice if the movies could catch up to comics of even twenty years ago a little bit.
And yes, this is related to what is wrong with trying to make comics more "streamlined," "iconic," and "movieverse-like." The comics should be pulling the movies toward more complexity and thematic variety, not becoming more like the movies have been so far (kind of dumb and repetitive).

(Anonymous) 2015-01-23 04:29 am (UTC)(link)I totally feel your pain, anon. I mean don't get me wrong I like the Marvel movies that are coming out now but I would die of happiness if they came out with a movie for this. (Or a TV series like some commenters said.)
Though who knows how it would turn out. Maybe it's better if they just leave it alone.

(Anonymous) 2015-01-23 04:34 am (UTC)(link)Text: While I’m really happy there are so many upcoming Marvel movies, I’ll be forever sad that plans for a Runaways movie were permanently shelved. Ant-Man? Captain Marvel? I could have done without either of those, really.

(Anonymous) 2015-01-23 08:31 am (UTC)(link)They are going to get into a predicament where their current stars won't want to carry on (Chris Evans already said he doesn't want to), and I'm not sure if the fans are going to care for the movies if they have to keep recasting to suck more money out of this genre finish the infinity stones plot.
