Let's see . . . There are plans to kill Jyrras before his weapons technology spreads, plans to commit genocide against the dragon race, whatever the hell Fa'Lina is doing . . . The TV Tropes page lists six different conspiracies.

Whoa, seriously? When I left, it was mostly just a fluffy random silly comic strip about furries and Dan had just started going to Incubus University! Yike!

I actually think it's the best use of Cerebus Syndrome I've seen. Once the switch from "this takes place in a chatroom" to "this takes place in a fantasy world with its own history and culture" is complete, all remaining elements are naturally integrated into the new world, from explaining how Pyroduck got his name, to turning Dark Pegasus into a serious villain. It gets dark at times (especially the side stories), but it's not unwarranted or a sudden major switch, and there's some seriously cool worldbuilding at play.

If you want to see what kind of comic it's turned into, Mathilda' side story might be a good place to start. It's in the same style, but effectively independent of most of the previous continuity. Fair warning: it touches on some serious topics like suicide. http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Ma_001.php

Read Mathilda's story, and DAMN. I left the comic when she was still early in her introduction, and the comic has come a long way! I doubt I'll read it again (the archive's too intimidating) but I do approve!
