I love them all. Every single companion. My point was merely that the OP was making it seem like Moffat is the only one who does the companion with feelings for the Doctor thing when in fact they both did it equally.

Ah, yeah. I definitely see that. I was just sharing and basking in the Martha and Jack love (nothing productive to add to the conversation).

Martha had an unrequited crush which I didn't mind at all, because it was new and Jack, he loved the Doctor but it was never a big issues... whereas Amy and River were so over the top with it. It gets boring after a while and it just felt like Moffat was trying to out-write RTD and... well, failed bad.
