I think I've freaked people out by saying I liked her (as a character, of course. I liked that she was so awful, she was fun to read about).

I once freaked out my boss by mentioning the food on Hannibal looked delicious. I had to clarify that the production design intended it to look so yummy and did so to mess with the viewers. Man, there were a couple of seconds were the whole office was side-eyeing me.

Yeah, the intended audience reaction was for Umbridge to be absolutely despicable. It worked. She's just so perfectly hateable, it's amazing.

TBH I like her ending up in Azkaban, I think it's fitting.

I just wish it had been shown in canon.

Though I do understand that it might have disrupted the flow of the story.

Nah, she ends up in Azkaban. I admittedly don't know if the dementors are still in use, given that they're dark creatures in alignment with Voldemort she deserves them tbh but still, from everything we see in Azkaban, it's a pretty shitty place; a place that she deserves.
