Rec a Show

Know any good shows? Want to have others share in the greatness? List'em!

Doing this mostly because The Fall is back on (at least Season 2 is on Netflix), I'm terribly excited, and Black Sails will be coming up next week (this show is slower paced, not for everyone, but hey! Pirates, slow build up but good character development, fairly plotty).

Pushing Daisies - Bright show with quirky characters; always puts me in a good mood; artsy feel

The Flash - Great comic-book show; more joyful in tone than Arrow but also has a bunch of intriguing mysteries; great family dynamics and pretty good special effects so far; it's not wasting time but going straight for the big villains and Barry's only kept his secret from one person in his life so far -- everyone else knows

Person of Interest - Consistently good writing; excellent cast; great chemistry between principles, complex villains (seriously, they do antagonists better than almost anyone). POI constantly pushes itself -- there are a ton of surprises along the way; it takes risky chances and follows through with the consequences

The Golden Hour -- because it has Richard Armitage as a surgeon

I could write a million words about this show, but basically, if you like mysteries, or goofy shows about eccentric beach bums, I strongly recommend checking out The Finder on Netflix. It's such a good show. The central characters are well-developed and mature and the show just has a goofy, eccentric vibe that makes it a lot of fun.

Just be sure to watch it in production order - the order on Netflix is the same as the broadcast order, which Fox completely screwed up, and it really makes the show a lot worse.

Galivant! I love it! The music, the characters, the humor. I love that it's only 8 episodes, so I can't get sick of it, and I will actually be sad when it's over instead of relieved. :)
