Enh, I thought it thematically appropriate, considering it's brown and green, and takes place in a logging town (with general brown and sepia color schemes).

That said, I can imagine the lack of contrast really frustrating for the color-blind.

It is indeed! It's from the 10th season episode, "Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders," which is the most delightfully whimsical and heartwarming family movie ever seen on MST3K, brought to us by the adorably grandfatherly Ernest Borgnine. This movie/episode always gives me such warm, fuzzy and outright enchanting nightmares. ♥

I thought this was going to about the continuation.

Instead, it's about the graphics designed a quarter of a century ago - ones that, in my opinion, fit the show really well. Did you just get into the series? Or have you been holding this in for a very long time? Or did you just want to start a discussion about Twin Peaks? If so, this was a strange way to go. I mean, nine episodes on Showtime in 2016 written by David Lynch and Mark Frost, with Lynch directing and Kyle MacLachlan returning to the series.

I guess I could see it being brown, but it really looked grey on first look...

It looks like it could be taken for a warm grey color. It's just that most people's idea of grey is as either a cool or a neutral color. But it can be warm-toned too!

That said, I would probably categorize it as brown or taupe.
