2) Is it directed against some form of oppression?

If it's innocent people, how is 2) true, aside from the victims happening to be men? That's like praising Joker for being feminist because he killed men, therefore fought oppression.

Ikr? Scary how some people think.

(Anonymous) 2015-01-25 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
How the fuck is it scary

you realize that I'm talking about this in explicitly fictional terms and in no way endorsing the morality of said actions in real life, right

The fact that they didn't deserve to die - that they were innocent - in no way stops it from being radical violence. In fact, I would argue that it makes it more radical, and not less.

And I don't think that it's an explicit kind of oppression. But that doesn't mean that it can't come from things relating to patriarchy and that the character's beliefs can't come from a reaction to it.

But I acknowledge that it's possible you're right & all the people talking about it in that light are making it up out of thin air.

I honestly think at this point you'd rather the character fit your viewpoint and want to avoid actually seeing it to ensure your head canon's survival. That or you are a better troll then most.

(Anonymous) 2015-01-25 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't have a headcanon. I'm defending the validity of other peoples' headcanons, not mine.

(Anonymous) 2015-01-25 10:27 pm (UTC)(link)
patriarchy

Oh fuck you're one of those people

(Anonymous) 2015-01-25 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)
lol seriously

(Anonymous) 2015-01-25 10:37 pm (UTC)(link)
You're basically saying she's like a terrorist, only on a smaller, more private stage.

(Anonymous) 2015-01-25 10:39 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not unsaying that.

Okay, yes, that is exactly what I'm saying.

(Anonymous) 2015-01-25 11:10 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL, and that my friend is the point where trolls just go that ooooone tiny step too far into stupid.

Nice attempt tho.

(Anonymous) 2015-01-25 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)
I said at the beginning that I know it's not a view that most people on f!s agree with.

That doesn't mean that I'm trolling or lying.

No, it means your talking out of your ass about something you know nothing about.

Which is entirely your prerogative, but good luck getting anyone to listen to a single word you say.
