I think the problem is a bit of miscommunication. Obviously no one would put all of 200 million toward boring necessities. The people saying they'd pay off loans and save are saying that's their first priority, and once that's done they'd use the rest for fun stuff. I think people are just annoyed at the (probably incorrect) inferred "OP has no boring necessities to pay before they can get to the fun stuff", which can understandably be kind of annoying when a lot of your worries are tied up in those things.

I was one of those that said loans, house, vacation, saving, but after that I would totally be blowing thousands on fandom stuff.
