Re: Everything you wanted to know about DID/multi, but were afraid to ask.

If you don't mind me asking...

How do other disorders interact with being multi/DID? Are some of you more affected than others by particular disorders?

(I just read further above... oops, I'm sorry!)

It's cool anon, don't worry about it.

And the answer is yes. For instance, I, Rogan, am recovering from an eating disorder. Nobody else in this system had it, but they felt the physiological effects, which included constant nausea, gut cramps, and lack of appetite.

I'm also the one on antidepressants. Other system members don't have depression (and even me, it's pretty low-level), but even so, the physiological effects persist even if we switch, so we try to avoid having non-depressed system members front for long during a depressive episode, because we don't want it to spread.

I hope you eventually get to a place where you don't have to worry about the depression and ED so much. :)

Aw, thanks anon. We're pretty steady these days, ED-wise. I haven't had a relapse in years, and basically as long as I follow my meal plan, I'm good. Depression is still a bit off-and-on, but I've been doing some pretty deep work, and depression would be a natural result of that. And my meds keep me pretty steady on that too. So we're okay.
