Yeah, that's the best way I can explain it.

I have a very distinct line between "real" and "unreal", and my written worlds are to me "unreal" in the sense that I can basically play God and manipulate whatever's happening.

But I know I'm doing something right when they start becoming "real" and the characters and world start interacting naturally, almost of their own accord. It's like a switch turns on and I have a flow of narration and moving images in my head, that I then put down on paper.

But I think this is probably different from multi.
