Interestingly, ours is too! For the longest time, we thought we were just characters who didn't have a story yet. Some of our most reliable records are our fumbling attempts to force ourselves into story universes, with sometimes hilarious results.

(However, nowadays, it's painfully clear what makes a character and what makes a system member. Here, system members all have a Purpose, something we are specifically created to do. This Purpose supercedes all other needs or desires--and I do mean all. Characters do not.)
