Honestly, I'm not really sure what happened. The Know Your Meme people are really on her side, and the Tumblr people are really against her, so it's hard to find a clear account of events. (At some point, people were apparently saying she doxxed herself? IDEK.)

AFAIK, she gave out her work's contact information and dared people to try and get her fired. There are some caps/links a few posts down on this blog: plebdox.tumblr.com

I wasn't there for the communismkills drama, so I can't say what happened there. :( I did see a couple of joke posts on my dash insinuating that she dared people to dox her, but I haven't heard anything beyond that.

Pretty sure that it was actual doxxing in communismkills' case- they even went after her mother.

AYRT. I went to know your meme and the thing I'm confused about is why releasing her personal information meant she had to resign? And why did she get her job back in that case?

I think she got her job back because her supporters started ringing up and contacting her employers like crazy to try and convince them to take her back and the reason why she had to resign was because she put up her work details, daring her critics to contact them. Top tip, don't drag your work into an internet fight, it's childish as hell! Another top tip, don't ring someone's employer and tell them to fire them just because you don't agree with her comics, it's also childish as hell!

Yeah, the people who called her work are childish as hell but so was she for actually putting the information out there and telling them to do it.

So if you dare someone to stab you and they do, it's clearly your fault for dying, not the idiot's who stabbed you?

Overreacting much? Pointing out someone did something childish =/= thinking they're completely at fault... especially when they call both sides childish.

It's not overreacting, it's a hyperbolic analogy.
