From the parts of story from you that i heard, I certainly wouldn't call you "privileged".

And I've seen some of this bs with my own eyes. like, white chicks calling out black/desi/latina girls for being "racist" for disagreeing with their nonsense opinions. It's baffling.

Enh, I have privilege. The only folks without privilege are dead.

Like, I figure it's one of those things that CAN be a privilege, or might not. Someone might only feel safe enough to flee an abuser because they have a lot of family or other privileges to fall back on... or they might flee regardless of how shitty things get because they have no other choice. It's such a complicated thing that I think reducing it to privilege is wrongheaded.

In my opinion, one of the first, most important steps to realizing your privilege is SHUTTING THE FUCK UP. Which sadly, some people never learn.
