Why do you care what one random user thinks? Are you sure you're not insecure? You legit sound like a Twilight fan that got butthurt because someone mentioned to someone else that the book sucked.

I dunno, it just bothers me when people make criticisms of things I like that I feel are fundamentally unfair and cheap, and that also serve to imply that the thing in question is low status

Like you said, everyone feels that way at some point and that's not weird.

Most people realise it isn't personal, ignore it, and move on. You and people like Twilight fans that take insults to Twilight personally don't, and that's weird.

You're bothered because it's a criticism of a thing YOU like. That's like the definition of taking something personally.
